I Surrender

Sometimes I find myself on a bended knee,
Seeking out the depth of your Mercy
And yet I wander from the path, and your ways,
And reaping what I sow is the price I pay                 .

So I surrender to the One who conquered sin by Grace,
I surrender to the one who rose above.
I surrender to the gift of your saving faith,
I surrender to the One who is Love.                                                                                 .

Sometimes I’m weary from the worries of life,
depending on myself to make things right.
Trusting me, instead of God, who can do all things,
leaves me with no control and no lasting peace.

So I surrender to the King of amazing Grace,
I surrender to the author of Hope
I surrender to the one who cares for me,
I surrender, body and soul.

Like the Prodigal son sometimes my life I’ve misused, (Luke 15:11-32)
and chased worldly treasures that brought me to ruin
But when I follow  the Father, His Way and his Truth
I reap all the blessings only a Father could send,
and realize the meaning of knowing who I am.
(Luke 12:33-34 & I John 3:1)

I surrender to the one who is the King of Kings, (Rev. 17:14)
I surrender to the one who reigns above.
I surrender to the gift of your saving faith,
I Surrender, to the One who is Love.
                                    .
